The Voids

Recently, I spent a few weeks in Berlin, a place I hadn’t traveled to since 1993. Things had changed a lot. I was deeply moved by Libeskind’s Jewish Museum. The idea of building a structure around five distinctive voids which represent the millions of personal narratives and lives lost during the Holocaust was a stroke of genius. One need only enter these cold, gloomy, barren spaces and understand the magnitude of this horrible chapter in German history.
